solstice greetings from logos! between now and 31 december you can download our entire discography - eight albums - for the ridiculous price of £1.50. please go to our bandcamp page to do so.

logos have a track on the forthcoming compilation lunar tunes, a split artist, ambient/dark ambient release in homage to the moon which also features tracks by uncertain, the plague doctors, and elveslogos' contribution is a new 18 minute piece entitled selenites. the album should be available for download imminently on a 'free or pay what you want' basis; we'll update this post as soon as it goes live.

nexus is now available to download. we'll be adding a page devoted to this album in due course; in the meantime, please see our last few blog posts for full details.

after much anguish and consideration we've slightly altered the track listing of our forthcoming 'sampler' collection album, nexus, as follows:-

01: everybody gets elves (from gehenna now)

02: do you love? (from ascending a line in the sky to sothis)

03: hypogirl (from shamania)

04: santa susana blues (from santa susana blues)

05: shamania [solstice prologue] (from everything under the sky)

06: dark skies now (from chasing a thread that has no end)

07: ii [local void] (from at the core of each star)

rather than the scattered selection we'd originally chosen and which you can see in our last post, we thought it more appropriate to ensure we include a track from every logos album. we've released six albums so far, quite disparate in style, and totalling almost eight hours of music. hopefully the nexus tracks will encourage the listener to delve further into the logos cannon; it is after all primarily intended as a 'sampler' and introduction to logos for those unfamiliar with what we do. by way of a bonus for those who already have the original albums, we've also included a track from our forthcoming 'fifth logos album proper' (discounting everything under the sky and chasing a thread that has no end), titled at the core of each star, which will be released later this year.

release date for nexus is 21 march 2016. it will be free to download.

the next logos album will be released on 21 march. free to download and titled nexus, it collects tracks from our previous albums and is intended as an introduction to logos for the uninitiated. it'll also be ever-evolving; we'll periodically update the track content in future, as and when we release new albums.

here's the current listing:

01: everybody gets elves

02: santa susana blues

03: shamania [solstice prologue]

04: to please the moon

05: hungry knife

06: hypogirl

07: do you love?

08: gehenna now [2015]

09: hollow hills of london

this was a very difficult listing to compile, since some of our favourite logos tracks are rather long and we'd set a fixed running time for the album (80 minutes, enough to burn to a single cd). hopefully it'll encourage listeners to delve further into our back catalogue; there's about eight hours of music there in all.

we'll post a further update, as soon as the album is available.

chasing a thread that has no end is now available to stream / download. we'll shortly be adding a dedicated page on this site looking into the album in more detail.

as we finalise matters on our album chasing a thread that has no end, we thought it a good time to let you know the track listing:-

01. dark skies now (9.30)

02. db00215 (3.38)

03. angel hair (11.05)

04. red book yellow book (20.56)

05. anhedoniac (7.00)

06. manunkind (4.24)

07. the looming tower (19.03)

if you've been following logos for a while, you may recognise some of those tracks. we'll post full details of the origins of each in our next update.

we're busy finalising our next album, chasing a thread that has no end, and thought we'd share another track.

db00215 was originally a shamania track, one of half-a-dozen or so we cut when streamlining shamania from the four hour plus monster it at one stage was, and down to a still epic but more manageable two hours. those of you who have heard darren francis' spoken word with music album future ghosts will recognise this track, as a rather different version comprised the music to the track cygnusolar.

more new album news anon.

though it has been rather quiet on the logos website of late, that doesn't mean we've not been up to things behind the scenes. we've mentioned before that we intend to release a collection of unreleased tracks from our various album sessions. we're now putting the finishing touches to this album and it will release very shortly. we won't detail the track listing quite yet as this may be subject to last minute change; we had several hours' worth of tracks to choose from when deciding what to include. for this reason, we may do another album or two in the same vein in the future.

why has this album taken so long, if it's just a load of tracks we've not released before? primarily because we want it to sound as best as it can. it's not simply a case of stringing a bunch of tracks together, we've re-worked them all to one degree or another. we also want it so sound coherent as an album, instead of simply being a jumble of different tracks, and have shaped them all with this in mind. we're also very busy with other things non-logos.

like everything under the sky, this album will release on a 'free or pay what you want basis'. here's the first track, dark skies now. this is also the most recent. we created it as we were beginning work on at the core of each star, but it doesn't really fit  on that album. we still much-like it though, and are happy it has found a home here instead. we'll be posting further tracks anon, together with the final track listing.
